Why trust the Bible? Do we trust it because it’s true and reliable or because that’s what we were always told to do by people we loved and respected? Many ask these questions today in what is currently called the process of “deconstructing” their faith.

I asked them many years ago when I reached a place where I wanted to find out the truth for myself. I wanted to know if my hope for eternal salvation was based on reality or on what I referred to as “the party line” of religious claims I grew up with.

How I went about that exploration and the results of it are the basis for this series of lessons.
